Pre-School cleaning

I currently clean a day care/pre-school 4 times per year. Always a little concerned that I am leaving detergent residues in the carpet and the kids are crawling around on them all day. There is much food/dirt/and other goodies in the carpet. I tried the Axiom cleaners but they did not work to well. Right now I am using an enzyme pre-spray and a light rinse of dry slurry. Any suggestions on a green cleaner that might work in this situation

Use whatever prespray you want and rinse with soap free or Pro'schoice oxygen release. You'll get the alkaline emulsifying action while leaving no residue, and they do a great job of brigtening the textile and even mildly sanitizing:

I seriously doubt you are leaving enough of the Dry Slurry behind to matter, but if you are that concerned with residue then go with an encap rinse from http://www.vacaway.com.
