I do not see anything wrong with the forward pass. Triggering on the forward pass is not unusual. It just depends on the soil load. The only thing I would change is picking up the wand after each pass.

I will sometimes remove the Vac hose from the wand to soak the spot deeper in order to remove more of the spot and avoid wick up.

While cleaning area rugs in my shop I was shocked to learn-- that it takes alot of water to reach the underside.

On Some carpets and rugs-- its just good practice to get down in there to get the nasty stuff out.

I've got surplus parts

It causes shoulder pain and fiber distortion.
Like I said, cleaning area rugs has improved my carpet cleaning skills.

As I've gotten older, I've learned that Finesse is sometimes better than brute force.

It's Chemical reaction, water and suction that removes the nasty stuff.

I'm smart enough to remove the extra water I put down. A dev pro wand with site glass or water claw helps with this necessity .

1 bolt and 2 rubber bump stops?

the bolt could be for the safety chain which I've attached through bolts that hold drawbar coupling

dunno what 2 rubber things are? No way to attach to chassis opposite spring and axle and too soft for that purpose anyway?
