You get the pad wet, and it helps keep it wet as you go. Certainly with just a little experience it’s not a big issue. You certainly don’t have to stop and spray which is essentially the same thing.

I think the best answer is pony up the cash for a Trinity Phoenix or a Sprayborg. It sprays ahead of the machine evenly and the pad works it in.

Of course that’s true or a Vibe. I said, if he was gonna use a 175, a tank still beats spraying with any type of of sprayer, and way cheaper too.

The only issue with running a shampoo tank with a bonnet is that the solution won't flow/disperse through the bonnet very well.
It slings off the top of the pad driver in 360 degrees so its always spraying where you are going.
You do have to back it up to pick up the spray behind the machine though. It becomes part of the routine. 2 steps forward while triggered one step back. A lot of overlapping.

A FiberPlus pad with a pad driver and shampoo tank showerfeeds the solution through pad. And the pad disperses the solution smoothly. Whereas, bonnets don't have the ability to showerfeed.

Comparing FiberPlus pads to a carpet brush: FiberPlus pads will use less solution than a shampoo brush, due to the pad's ability to spread the solution more evenly.

If you dip the pads in water and the brush you find the pads hold more water than a brush. Bonnets will hold more than the pads.
The solution still slings off the top of the driver on a 175 rotary unless its stationary.whenyou release the solution.
My experience anyway.
